Aloo paneer kofta recipe- very easy to make rich and delicious kofta with potatoes and crumbled paneer. These koftas are a crispy covering with melt in mouth inside. These hearty koftas are just what you need during winters with your cuppa. Here is how to make best aloo paneer kofta with step by step photos.
I make kofta recipe at home occasionally especially when we have guests. I make these koftas as snack or to add in kofta curry like malai kofta curry. These turn out very rich, mildly spiced with subtle flavor of paneer that everyone loves.
In this recipe we use mashed potatoes and crumbled paneer to make kofta. You can stuff copped dry fruits and nuts inside the kofta especially wile serving as snack.
While making aloo paneer kofta make sure to grate the potatoes or mash it coarsely. Do not make it like a paste. The key to perfect aloo kofta is to keep the texture of mashed potatoes right.
Serve aloo paneer kofta hot as snack or use in any kofta curry recipe.
How To Make Vegan Aloo Kofta?
To make these aloo kofta vegan just leave out paneer or replace with crumbled tofu. You can also use any other grated vegan cheese.
Variations With Aloo Paneer Kofta Recipe
Instead of potatoes you can use boiled and mashed sweet potatoes or even raw banana.
You can vary the spices and seasoning as per taste
Here I have shallow fried the kofta, you can even deep fry or pan fry them.

How To Make Aloo Paneer Kofta Recipe : Step by step
1. Boil,peel and grate the potatoes. Crumble paneer well. Take both in a mixing bowl and add all the other ingredients except dried nuts and oil.
2. Mix well and bring together like a dough. Divide into 10 equal portions and make small balls.
3. Take a ball and make a dent in the center and keep 2-3 almond pieces and 3 raisins. Close the ball and roll well and press very slightly.
4. Heat oil for shallow frying. Fry the shaped koftas 3-4 at a time till golden brown from both sides. Serve aloo paneer kofta hot with sauce and chutneys.

Ingredients
- 100 grams paneer crumbled
- 1 large potato boiled,peeled and grated
- 2 tablespoons milk powder
- 2 tablespoons corn flour/rice flour
- 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala powder
- 2 teaspoons chopped almonds
- 10 raisins
- Salt
- Oil for shallow frying

Notes
1. You can use cilantro leaves instead of powder.
2. Milk powder is optional but it gives a rich taste
