Love this salad. I made according to recipe and used as dip with graham crackers. Everyone loved it. Made again 1/2 recipe for 4 people and had a small amount left but this is not a dish for refrigeration. The strawberries break down the heavy cream.

This Strawberry Cheesecake Salad requires only 5 ingredients. Surprise! That’s right! That all there is.

This Strawberry Cheesecake Salad kind of reminds me a little ofsweet vanilla frosting that has strawberries in it.
I recommend serving with cookies, or broken waffle cones to use as dippers. Graham crackers are delicious as well. I especially like the chocolate graham crackers with the strawberries.
I like this version of the Strawberry Cheesecake Salad because it usesno artificial pudding mix or marshmallows. I also like it with only strawberries. You could certainly add bananas or blueberries to make it patriotic for a 4th of July picnic.
If you want a Red, White, and Blue Cheesecake Salad try my Berry Cheesecake Salad that is perfect for a patriotic July 4th picnic.

This was so good put in between the strawberry poundcake layers topped with whipped cream and candied pecans and sprigs of mint. I used freeze dried berries in the cake instead of fresh, but used fresh for the fluff.

Just noticed in the directions that the vanilla is not mentioned. Probably add to the cream cheese mixture??

Michele says
Hi Patricia,
Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I updated the instructions to clarify that the vanilla is added to the cream cheese mixture in step 1. I hope you enjoy it!

Hi! Can you make this ahead and store in fridge, maybe wait to add berries before serving?
Reply
Michele says
Hi Jessie, yes you can make it ahead of time. I do recommend storing the strawberries separately in the refrigerator and stirring together before serving.

Patty says
How immediate is ‘immediate’ , can it wait an hour or two before serving?
Reply
Michele says
Hi Patty,
If you are going to have a delay of an hour or two, it would likely be fine as long as it is refrigerated until you are ready to serve. However, if you know there is going to be a delay, I would recommend not adding the strawberries until just before serving otherwise the strawberries may discolor the white cheesecake dip.

Where do you use the vanilla pudding? I don’t see it anywhere in the instructions.

Michele says
Hi Jessica,
There is no vanilla pudding in this recipe. It is cream cheese, powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla and strawberries only.

Can I use cool whip instead of the heavy whipping cream?
Reply
Michele says
Hi Tina,
Yes, you can use Cool Whip instead of heavy whipping cream. Skip the step to beat the whipping cream, and just fold the Cool Whip in with the cream cheese, and follow the rest of directions as written.

How much cool whip would you use? The 8oz size or 12oz?
Reply
Michele says
Hi Cathy,
Use the 8-ounce size.
Thanks,
